Getting Engaged, How it went down.

About a week prior to the actual engagment night my roomates and I all talked about wathing a movie up in the canyon. However, as time drew closer each roomate would come up with some sort of reason why they could not make it to the movie until it was down to Tom and Kristy.

At about eight o'clock as Katy and I were getting ready to leave I was "worried" that Tom was not home yet. So I called him and said we needed to get things set up before dark. Conveniently Tom told us to go up ahead of him that he and Kristy would be coming later.

When we got to the pre-arrange location I set up the projector, and screen that I made out of bed sheets. (Special thanks to Ted for hiking the generator up earlier that day)

Katy asked if we should wait for Tom and Kristy but Since there was a sign saying that the park was "Closing" (it wasn't really) at 11:00pm, I said we should go ahead and get started. We watched Moulin Rouge, one of Katy's favorite movies.

After the movie I prepared a slideshow of a lot of things we have done together. On the last slide I turned to Katy and told her I love her and gave her a kiss, and slid the ring on her finger. As soon as I put the ring on her she, lost her breath and started to cry. We then got up and danced to the music I had playing behind the slideshow.

We finished up the night with an oreo cheesecake and a glass of Martinelli's sparkling white grape juice.

We will be getting married in the San Diego Temple in August of 2007.
